1- Marriage Grant Scheme for Daughters of Scheduled Tribes
The Uttarakhand government offers a Marriage Grant Scheme to provide financial assistance for the marriage of daughters belonging to Scheduled Tribes (ST), Scheduled Castes (SC), and Below Poverty Line (BPL) families. This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden on underprivileged families and promote social empowerment.
Key Features of the Scheme

Financial Assistance: A one-time grant of Rs 50,000 is provided for the marriage of up to two daughters per eligible family.

Eligibility Criteria:

Residency: The applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand.

Social Category: The applicant should belong to the Scheduled Tribes (ST), Scheduled Castes (SC), or be from a BPL family.

Income Limit: The family's annual income should not exceed Rs 48,000.

Age Criteria: The bride must be at least 18 years old, and the groom must be at least 21 years old at the time of marriage.

Application Timeline: Applications must be submitted in the same financial year as the marriage, i.e., from March 1 to February 28/29 of the following year.

Income and caste certificates issued by the Tehsildar.
